Gorzów Wielkopolski is a city with county rights. It is located along the Warta River and its tributary, the Srebrna, near the Kłodawka River. It borders the Barlinek-Gorzów Landscape Park. The city lies in the western part of Poland, in the Lubusz Voivodeship, and is its second-largest city. Geographically, the southern part of the city is in the Gorzów Basin, and the northern part lies on the Gorzów Plain. It sits at an elevation of 19–105 meters above sea level. Gorzów Wielkopolski is part of the so-called Gorzów Agglomeration, home to a total population of 400,000.
