Customs clearance is a step that must be taken by the importer, that is, the person bringing goods from another country, or an appointed representative acting on behalf of that person.

1) Such a declaration is required in all cases, regardless of the type of vehicle used for the transport.
2) This obligation applies to every type of goods. The only exceptions are postal and courier parcels of low value (typically up to 45 euros).
3) There is no way to bypass the requirement for customs clearance; there are no alternative solutions in this regard.
4) The documentation required usually includes: company documents, packing lists, authorizations, invoices, product catalogs, technical instructions relevant to the specific goods, etc.
5) Customs clearance for export must be carried out at the place of loading or the location of the exporter’s registered office. Customs clearance for import can be completed in any EU country.

The forwarder, on behalf of the Client, prepares the documentation for border control authorities. They also submit the documents for customs clearance and coordinate the availability of goods for inspection.
