Transport Balkans

Transport Balkans is one of the many services we offer. It includes both transportation from Poland to the Balkans and vice versa. We also organize the transport of goods to other European countries.

Balkans-Poland Freight Forwarding — Our Services

Our service range includes full truckload, partial, and intermodal transport, which involves combining at least two transport modes into one system. It is worth noting that the latter is the most environmentally friendly option.

We transport loads using available vehicles, such as:

  • trucks,
  • refrigerated trucks,
  • tankers,
  • tractors,
  • vehicles
    – up to 24 tons with curtain trailers (13.6 meters),
    – up to 6 tons (18 pallets, 49 cubic meters) with hydraulic lift,
    – up to 1.5 tons (8 pallets, 20 cubic meters).

We also organize low-loader transport for oversized cargo using various types of low-bed trailers and platforms. Thanks to such a wide range of vehicles, we can offer European-wide shipping of various types of cargo.

Our services are available to large and small companies as well as individual clients.

Characteristics of the Balkan Peninsula

The Balkan Peninsula, often referred to simply as the Balkans, is located in Southeastern Europe. It borders the Adriatic, Ionian, Black, Marmara, and Aegean Seas. The southernmost part is known as the Peloponnese. Balkan countries include: Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Greece, North Macedonia, the Dalmatian part of Croatia, most of Serbia (excluding the Vojvodina region), and Kosovo. Sometimes Slovenia, Romania, and Moldova are also included.

The region spans about 470,000 square kilometers. The terrain is largely mountainous, while the east and coastal areas are predominantly lowlands. Mountainous terrain poses challenges for truck drivers. Navigating these routes requires extensive experience, especially during winter due to ice. Additionally, snowstorms can cause traffic jams. In some areas, road conditions may be unsatisfactory, though they are continuously improving. A definite advantage is the well-functioning roadside assistance system.

Balkan Freight

The dynamic development of Balkan countries means that more and more companies from other European nations are engaging in partnerships with them. The most frequently transported goods include:

  • transport-balkanyto and from Bulgaria – agricultural products (including corn, wheat, sunflower, cotton, tobacco), agricultural machinery, equipment, and production devices;
  • to and from Bosnia and Herzegovina – agricultural, construction, industrial, and mining machinery, metal and plastic products, electronic equipment;
  • to and from Montenegro – agricultural and industrial machinery, wood, food products;
  • to and from Greece – mechanical and electrical machines and equipment and their parts, chemical industry products, base metals and related goods, plant-origin products, food items;
